Pathways to the German university

There are two main paths to enter a German university:

  1. Direct access to the university

For students who have already started university in Brazil or are graduates, requirements:

  • Level C1 in German
  • Approval in TestDaF or Telc
  • Academic background equivalence accepted by German universities
  • Process: Direct application for the desired course at the university
  • Advantage: Faster entry to university
  1. Indirect access via Studienkolleg (Preparatory year)

For students whose academic record is not sufficient for direct access, requirements:

  • Level B2 in German
  • Passing the Studienkolleg entrance test

Process:

  • A year of study at Studienkolleg
  • Passing the final exam (Feststellungsprüfung)
  • Application to the university after completing the Studienkolleg

Advantages:

  • It prepares students for the German education system
  • Free (except for an administrative fee of €100-400 per semester)

Note: The Studienkolleg usually starts one year before entering the university

The choice between these paths depends on your academic background and level of German. A Be Easy offers personalized guidance to determine the best route for your objectives.
